Hoana Henare (Ngāti Wehi Wehi, Ngāti Tūkorehe, Ngāti Raukawa, Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri, Ngāti Urban Māori o Tāmaki Makaurau o Mangere)
Lived Experience Sector Leader
Ko ōku iwi ko Ngāti Wehi Wehi, ko Ngāti Tūkorehe, ko Ngāti Raukawa, ko Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri, ko Ngāti Urban Māori o Tāmaki Makaurau o Mangere. Ko Hoana Henare ahau.
I will always be a steadfast supporter of whānau, hapū and iwi as directors of their journey to hauora. Through whanaungatanga, manaaki and aroha, we can ignite the realised and unrealised potential of our collective to flourish and thrive beyond our wildest hopes and ngā moemoeā (dreams).
For the past thirteen years, I have worked at Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua Mental Health and Addiction Services as the Whānau Ora Kaitautoko (Whānau/Family Advisor) Oranga Hinengaro, the acute inpatient unit and across community and specialist services. I am a member of the following networks; National DHBs Whānau & Family Advisors Mental Health & Addiction Network; Health Quality & Safety Commission Mental Health & Addiction Quality Improvement Programme Leadership Group; Health Quality & Safety Commission Mental Health & Addiction Quality Improvement Programme Māori Advisory Rōpū (MAG).
